PipelineB2B Sponsor – Chicago Anytime Assistants

I was thrilled when Pam Sherman reached out to me to provide a special discount for attendees of the PipelineB2B event on 10/1.  Given that many of us are juggling full-time jobs, side projects, networking and family – it is great to have a resource to lend support.  Chicago Anytime Assistants is a woman-owned, local business that has been receiving quite a bit of publicity – mentions from Chicago Sun-Times, Time Out Chicago and most notably was recently nominated for the 2009 Chicago Innovation Awards.  Their spirit of small business acumen and savvy make them a great example of the PipelineB2B movement.

And…now that the holidays are upon us what a great treat for yourself OR impress someone on your list with a gift certificate for their own personal assistant.

In order to give you a more background on Chicago Anytime Assistants , I reached out to Pam to give us a little insight on the world of personal assistants.

What do you find is the biggest surprise that your new clients find about your service?

The biggest surprise is how all-encompassing our service can be—we do so much more than just run errands!  I don’t brand myself as a concierge service like others because I think it’s too limiting.  I find once we do a task successfully for a new client, we establish trust and then they look to us to help them solve more and more tasks.

I pride myself on having a top-notch preferred vendors list—our clients count on us to know who to go to or work with for everything!

And we are constantly adding new services to the mix—we have a personal organizer on staff who is always busy and we just added computer/tech support which has been really popular.

What is the most common task/errand that your clients ask you help them with?

At the end of the day, it’s the very conventional tasks that everyone has on their “to do” list—mostly grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning etc.

How do you organize your to-do list?

I am a “list” person—always have been and always will be!  I remember my first boss encouraged me to write a new “to do” list every night before I left the office in order to be ready for the next day and I’ve been doing that for 10 years now!

How do the holidays affect your business?

The Holidays are our busiest time of year!  It is really the best time for anyone curious about outsourcing their errands to try it out because holiday shopping can be quite overwhelming and stressful.  We also sell gift certificates which make for a great, fun and unique gift!

Thanks again the Chicago Anytime Assistants for supporting the PipelineB2B launch, we look forward to supporting your continued growth and success.

Chicago Anytime Assistants Bio:

Chicago Anytime Assistants is dedicated to providing personal assistance to the busy Chicagoan.

What is a personal assistant service? Think of it as having your own dedicated personal assistant, but even better—you can call only when you need us. There is no long-term commitment required and you are not bound by a set schedule. Whether it’s dropping off your weekly dry cleaning, taking your car in for service, buying a last-minute gift, or overseeing service repairs in your home, we are available to meet your individual needs. And unlike other part-time help, we are licensed and insured for your peace of mind.

Our staff finds inspiration in understanding each individual client’s needs and ensuring their satisfaction. Strange as it may seem, we think of errands as an art form and we enjoy doing them!  We are here to reduce your everyday stress, one task at a time.
